The Vignette Hexagon Quilt.

Hey everyone!

Leanne and Myself have decided to make the 'Hexagon Quilt' in issue 2 and 3 of Leanne Beasley's Vignette magazine after seeing the original in the flesh. Talk about beautiful!

For me, I have decided that I will use only scraps (as I have SO much, but don't hold me to it) and plan to make mine in-between projects if I don't have much hand sewing going on!

Anyone interested in joining us on this journey? If so, please leave us a comment, if you are a no-reply blogger you will need to leave us your email address so we can send you an invite so that you are able to post on this blog. You can also grab our button and attach it to your blog and link us if you like. You can also sign up to follow our blog via email by adding your email to the box on the top right sidebar.

So, who's up for a challenge?

Yes please. This is also something I can do from scraps and what bits and pieces I havent got packed away. Doesnt take up much space. Hand work is what I am restricted to right now.

Count me in please. I'm going to be stash diving for this one too. Makes it feel like a 'freebie'.... who am I kidding!

I'm tempted-I like your idea of having something to hand stitch in between other projects- what sort of pace would be set in doing it?

I've resisted for as long as I can & can do it no more. I want to join in too Sarah. Thanks Tracee xx

I was rummaging today and found some fabric I think will work - I have the papers and even the glue stick so I guess the last thing to do is join in here. Looking forward to fun....

I've been trying to finish a "grandmother's flower garden" quilt for 10 years. I've started it up again and am working fast and furious on it...I'd love to join you all! I've been posting pictures for the last couple of months on my blog. My fabric is 10 years old so when I finish this one I of course want to make another with all new fabrics...shhhh, don't tell my husband!

Yes please, I have been looking through my fabrics and would love to join in.

I am tempted too. Well, I don't have the magazine, but I think, I can managed without ;-). I am making hexagone flowers already and find those "put-in-between-hexagons" lovely. They would be just perfect for little quilt.

I would love to join and am going to make a scrappy one. As if I need something more to do but cant resist this. It will be nice to have a moving project.

I can't resist either! I don't know where I'll get the time. I do enjoy making hexagons, and, of course, like everyone else my stash is there to use. Although I did get some new fat quarters of a few new lines. Thanks, Leanne and Sarah. Sandy

I am new to this blog and very excited as I started making hexagons with oriental fabrics a month or so ago. I was moving at a good pace in the beginning. This will help me to stay on task. I hope. Jeanne

I don't know if this blog is still open to adding people, but I would like to join. I need to start a new hexie project to take with me to work this summer and fall. I don't have the pattern but I know how to make hexagons. I can't wait to see what all of you are working on.

I would like to join you all on your hexagon quilt journey. I need to do something with the quilt fabric I've been collecting and I think that this is the best way for me to get started on my first quilt.
