My Hexagon Quilt

I am very inspired by Leanne Beasley's hexagon quilt, as it is so beautiful and her explanation on how to make it was so easy to follow, that I decided to give it a go!!

I have always wanted to make a hand-pieced hexagon quilt, and with the small floral embroideries on some of the hexagons, it was too lovely not to make!!

I am trying to be very disciplined with the making of the hexagons, making at least one hexagon flower per day!! So far I have made about 30 flowers...how many more to go!! Oh well, it's all in the journey as they say!!

I think the best part of making this quilt is choosing the fabrics, only one hexagon flower per fabric..now that's a challenge in itself...just means I have to buy more fabric!!

Hope you are all enjoying this as much as me...

Your hexies are very pretty, I like how you have fussy cut some of the petals and the Colours are very rich looking.

Love your hexies :) I am afraid I am not restricting myself to one hexie flower per fabric...I have too many scraps to use up :) Your quilt will look lovely :)

Sharni,
I have been considering doing a hexagon quilt, and joining a quilt-along. Now, after seeing yours, I think I just might do it. I love it!!! Do you have any more pictures, I want to see all of it!!! Love it!! Maybe I'll post about it on my new blog as I make it!
