Hi - my very first entry!

Well, I am a blog-newbie (never wrote anything before) ... but I have been following this blog for the past months. It is great to see how many different possibilities this hexagon quilt has.
So, I thought that I would try it out, and also enter some pictures.
I am working on the scrappy look - OK, I admit not all the fabrics come from my stash - but it is allowed to purchase scraps too - right !? ;-)
I only got 250 paper templates to work with - so I have to continously sew blocks together to "liberate" templates - so 2 rows done, the 3rd is on its way!
So, looking forward to continue following this blog - and sometimes add some news of my own!
Have a great day!

Doing great and I love the scrappy theme. They all go very nicely together.

Welcome! Your hexies look very cute. I am yet to start my hexies and your frightened me with your comment about only purchasing 250!! I did the math and realised my measly 50 are not going to get me very far!!! Obviously not alot of thought gone into it on my part! Happy Stitching! Susie

Hi Susie ... when I purchased the 250 pcs... I really thought that it was a lot! ;-) ... it was only when I starting putting it together I found out that MY math wasn't too good either! The advantage is though, that it is easy to keep the scrappy look - not much possibility to plan much the colouring, since I have to sew the blocks together ... and I would otherwise probably be prone to colour coordinate! :-D ... have fun with the project !!!

welcome to blogging and well done on your progress, I agree with the 'purchasing of scraps' I have cut a few strips off some new stash fabric to add to mine :)
