Hello!

Hello!  I am a new member of this group...My name is Missie Carpenter and I must admit I love Hexies!  I have made one large quilt with hexies and have started another that I hope to complete this year.  Here is a pic of my first hexie quilt, Life in the Midwest.  This is an original quilt design.   I love applique and handwork...hexies fit right into that!!
Thanks for letting me join in the group!  Can't wait to be inspired by all your posts about hexies!!

Wow this is a beautiful quilt! welcome to the group, my hexies are still dormant I'm afraid. Maybe they will start to bloom again in the New Year!

Thanks so much! I recently did a post on hexies on my other blog...www.hallbrookdesigns.blogspot.com using starch to prepare the shapes. I would love to hear what you all think about that method of prep.
