So much has happened this last year - so my Vignette Hexagon quilt has not moved along as fast as I thought it would ....
I moved into a new home ... and here I even got my own "Studio" - no longer using the dining room table (well, I still do that too)
From our wedding day ... 4. August 2012 |
... but here it is how far along I got on the Hexagon quilt ...
I finally got the top ready:
I got the back ready:
(here I experienced a bit of drama ... I had purchased too little of the back-fabric ... what to do ? - panic ... until I remembered: this is PATCHwork ... I can just add some extra pieces of different fabrics) :-)
... and now I am handquilting all the "flowers" - "Leanne Style" ... it is taking forever, but it's looking amazing ...
... and the best thing is that I can quilt it, while sitting on the sofa - already covered by this amazing quilt "not yet finished" !
All you other post have been really inspiring ... so here is my small contribution ...
Best regards,
Lis
