and laid out a couple more rows to work on tonight. I am very surprised how quickly it is coming together. I'm also hoping that when I get into town tomorrow issue three might be waiting for me. If not I suppose I wait longer LOL. I've also got one of my mum's very old large hexagons to finish too and it has a wonderful mix of fabrics, but also its fair share of polycotton too, from dresses etc that she made for us as children. My girls think I'm mad when I show them a print I remember wearing LOL. Certainly not today's style!
Sorry about the bulge in the quilt as the doogie didn't think it was time to be up and about!
Katherine,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours!!!
Anna
You are doing really well. Your hexies look great.
ReplyDeleteYour hexie flowers look beautiful, lovely soft colours.
ReplyDeleteLovely, love the Colours, keep up the good work....
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all the encouraging comments. I am enjoying it so much that I might even do another one after this one is completely finished. I'm thinking along the lines of what Wendy has done with hers. Pick a colour and only move within the shades or even just a certain theme like rose prints. Now that is bringing on too much enthusiasm as I will be pulling out my meague box of fabrics in a minute and starting!
ReplyDeleteI just love the colourway you are using...like you I am too thinking of starting a second quilt.....of course after I finish this one!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Stitching
It is looking wonderful Katherine! Great job!
ReplyDeleteLovely hexies Katherine your quilt is going to be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIs your pooch really under there? Heck I hope you collected up those hexies before he decided to rise and shine!
