That "Swear Word" Moment!

I was trimming the white borders on my Hexagon quilt
and as I got to each corner I used the rulers'
corner to get a nice square edge....
As I rounded my fourth corner I realised I had made
a terrible mistake and had cut it 4 inches from
the inner Hexi and not the outer Hexi.....
 What the  F%$#*
Oh dear what have I done!!!!!
Not Happy and that is all I have to say.....

  2. not to worry i did the same with a hexagon quilt i had made, and i added a 2 inch floral border on it and when it was finished it looked alot better than the original. I was very proud of my mistake. The only thing was i had to make the binding in the same fabric i had used in the 2 inch border as the fabric i wanted for the binding seemed to make the quilt look smaller if that makes sense ;)

  6. Don't you hate it when that happens - and I'm sure it's happened to all of us at one time or another. Add another border - see it as an opportunity not a problem. It will look fabulous when you've finished and only you will know that it wasn't meant to be like that....
