You need to be careful where you store your hexis ....as my current hexagons flowers disappeared!!! The toddlers that 'roam my house' only muttered "Mummys sewing OUTSIDE"...... Arghhh!!! with only the moonlight to guide me I found the centres scattered on the cubby house floor and my hexagons flowers floating in the dog bowl....
I think they can be saved with a little bit of love....Im thankful I have a full stack of hexis to keep me going thou...
So dont get discouraged if you are a little behind...think of me and my hexis floating in the dog bowl.....
Happy Stitching
Deb :)
Ha ha....The challenges we face....I think you willl be able to save them.....There are too many to toss out....Good luck with them....
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that?!!! How could we be angry with such innocent little people!
ReplyDeleteIn ten years you can all look back on it and laugh :)
ReplyDeletewhat a great story to add to your quilt journal, Many years down the track an ancestor will have a giggle at your trials whilst patting their robot dog...... ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Kaye R... it would make a good story one day....should add a little story on my quilt label...
ReplyDeleteIm sure they can be saved..but for now they are tucked away waiting patiently to be used :)
What a great story. You must right it down and keep it as a history of your quilt.
ReplyDeleteDeb,
ReplyDeleteThat is a great story, you made me laugh right out loud about the hexis floating in the dog water dish. So funny, but so sorry about that happening to you!!! :) Sorry, can't stop smiling!!
Hugs,
Julie
Hi Deb,
ReplyDeleteOhh this is my nightmare, and I am only lucky that my girls have only dragged mine around the house and not outside.
Even said the flowers are looking gorgeous, they are really going to be super bright and cheerful when put together.
They were preparing hexi tea for you. How sweet.
