I have been meaning to do this give away for awhile now so finally here it is. I will send 3 lucky people a packet of pre cut hexagons kindly donated by Possum Blossom. Some are 1 inch and some are 1 1/2 inch. All you have to do to enter the giveaway is tell mewhat you enjoy the best about doing your hexagons. I'll draw 3 winners next Saturday. Good Luck.
I love sewing them together, it makes me feel so traditional :) Doing the same thing that women have done for ages.
ReplyDeleteI am loving how quick the hexagons come together to create a flower. After glueing the fabric to the papers it is just a matter of choosing which fabric complements the next and then sewing the hexagons together.
ReplyDeleteI am so loving creating the flowers.
I love the fact that it's something I can do by hand-I can take it with me and pick it up and put it down easily.
ReplyDeleteI lovee the fact that the hexies are portable and that each one is individual
ReplyDeleteI like sewing my hexagons on a night duty when it is quiet! They are easy to take with me and easy to pack up if we get busy.
ReplyDeleteI love that they are portable and that they allow me to create something totally by hand
ReplyDeleteThe best things are watching them grow, petal by petal...it is quite relaxing, sorting and cutting the fabric then sewing the hexagons together...and being by hand I can sit and sew wherever and whenever I have a moment to spare...
ReplyDeleteI like to have some in my purse, I did this when I expect my daughter skating ...
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seing the flowers grow and I enjoy, that I relax so well while sewing my flowers after a day at work. And not to forget - they are sooo easy to take along when going somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI love hat I can take them with me for any free moments at the soccer field, dr's office or even a really long traffic light!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy sewing my HEXIE flowers so much and I love that I can take the materials with me on long trips and sew. Thanks for the opportunity to win the little cardboard shapes. (duh, why did I draw a blank on what those little cardboard things are called?)
ReplyDeleteHexagons are a great, while I wait for, project!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Pam
I enjoy how relaxing it is to sew hexies. There is very little thinking about it & they just quickly come together. All good! Tracee xx
ReplyDeleteI love to match the hexies and I love how to grow up ... to form my "Secret garden"
ReplyDeleteI love everything about my hexagons! The whole process is very relaxing and fulfilling. I especially like looking at all my prepared hexies stacked up so pretty in the box I store them in :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is easy. They're portable, relaxing and so drool-worthy to look at. And I've discovered that you can actually get more of them stitched if you stop staring at them. lol Love.
ReplyDeleteThey're portable, relaxing and ready in no time.

Hexagons are wonderful...they are so easy to take along, and you see progress so quickly...no sewing machine required! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Hexagons because they are great to take anywhere, anytime. In fact I even worked on them during a two day retirement seminar last week that i went to with hubby. No use wasting good sewing time just sitting listening.
ReplyDeleteI like that I can put them down, and not work on them for awhile and pick them back up and not need to remember what I need to do. It's like a no thinking project. :):) Sandie
ReplyDeleteI love choosing fabrics for each new flower. Kind of like choosing for a new quilt each time. Enjoy
ReplyDeleteI love how I don't need a machine to make a flower, and its so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win such a great giveaway!!
I love handstitching and being able to take this portable project anywhere. I love picking out the colours and fabrics for each flower and how beautiful they look when they are pieced together. I did some when my grandma was in the hospital and I was sitting by her bedside.
ReplyDeleteI love it becaue there is no sewing machineand I can take them with me the last 4 month I have been going to the dentist so I took my hexies with me every time.
ReplyDeleteI love that I can take my hexies anywhere! Best portable project ever!
ReplyDeleteto get started would be good, have some fabrics but no papers :((
ReplyDeleteI love the way I can relax working with my hexagons. And it is also a fantastic way to use some of your scraps.
ReplyDeleteI love projects with hexies, they are fantastic for portables projects and very relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI love Possum Blossom! She is amazing. I also love hexies. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love that you can pick them up and take them anywhere and the colors are endless. i am really enjoying the fussy cut ones
ReplyDeleteWhat I love best about hexagons is that it is each time a small project (one flower). Also I love to bring some fabrics together and see my flower grow.

Sandra
I have never made a hexie. To me they are very old fashioned. I love them but they look hard. I have no idea how to make them. I would have to get a pattern and go on YouTube and watch a video and then I could probably make them. I would love to win some!!!! Today is the first time I've been to your blog. I found it through a woman from Ireland. I'm from the USA. Hope I win!!! Nice site! I will be checking it on my tours of blogs.
ReplyDeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nice comments!
Would like to join your giveaway:)
Have a nice day:)
I love the fact that they are transportable. So I can get a stitching fix no matter where I go. Watching the kids sport, out camping, watching us win the Rugby world cup (ha ha). thanks for the inspiration Leanne.
ReplyDeleteWhere does one even start?
ReplyDelete- Portable (love this!), it actually means I get to do sewing during my break at work.
- Pretty. Let's face it hexagon flowers are sooooo cute!
- Scraps - I finely get to use up all my tidbits of fabric that have been lying around.
- Fussy cutting - Love creating super cute flowers that have either a fussy cut centre or petals.
- Rewarding - every time I complete another flower and see my stack grow higher I could jump for joy.
Waiting time is no longer wasted time. It is a conversation starter as others watch you stitch away. It has a lovely traditional feel. And so many of us feel the same...........
