I'm also new here. I found out about this group from a blog I follow and thought it would be a beautiful project although the thought of 1 inch hexagons phased me for just a little while LOL. I don't have the magazine so will have to find out how to get it. If anyone can help with this please let me know.
I have selected a few jelly rolls and a layer cake of Moda's Lily and Will range in green, blue, chocolate and pink. I am also wondering if I should purchase the yellow one too. I have put the fabrics aside until after my birthday LOL. Hubby always gives me things I like, need and want along with a small surprise so I have only a few pics found on the internet to share. I am hoping that this range will make up ok otherwise it might be back to the fabric drawing board. Any advice would be welcome also.
I have decided not to glue baste so will have to do them all by hand. I used to use a washout fabric basting glue years ago and found that once the garment was finished the areas that had a dab of glue had rotted away once washed. It was rayon dress fabric though. But I have all my hexies cut out and ready for the fabric.

Hi Katherine, Sarah from Patchworks Plus in Tassie has the magazines in stock if you still need them.

I love your fabric selection but I would also put in the yellow .
I have purchased a new acid free glue stick. So hope it is okay.
I'll head off and see if I can get the yellow one here in Australia. I've also contacted the patchworkplus to organise the third issue and also asked if she can come up with the first two. I should have said I live in Northern Victoria too. Thanks for the feedback.....
I do like this range of fabric the yellow would be lovely as well.
Well I went away yesterday and thought about getting the yellow. Ordered it within 5 mins LOL. Also managed to track down the first two issues of Vignette and have the third on order. Never been one for internet shopping.
