My first post

Hi, everyone my name is Grit and I`m from Germany near Hamburg.
This is my first Post on this blog.
I have been wanting to join you all for awhile.
I really love hexagon quilts.
My first Hexagonquilt I made for my mother`s Birthday. It was a blue Flowergarden. You find the Quilt on my blog     www.gritslife1.blogspot.com

Now I started with my new project. Is my Hexagonquilt "La Passion". Its my own design.
The hexagon size is 1/2 Inch.

I hope my English is OK.

Liebe Grüße Grit

Just One More...

Our family had a car trip on Sunday for a couple of hours which was a great opportunity to do a little stitching. I'm thankful that I'm able to stitch in the car and not feel sick - amazing what you can get done.

I took along my last cut out hexagon flower to finish. So nice to have another one done!

So now there are 13 little blooms to my collection. Slowly growing as life gets so busy with school age children and running a family business.......and also having too many projects on the go (lol).

Its great to catch up on everyone's progress too on the blog. Always so nice.

Now to cut some more hexagons!

...and the garden keeps on growing

My Mom had to go through surgery a few weeks ago and I spent  much time at the hospital accompanying her. And my garden hasn't stopped growing since then.

Until next time.

Hey All

Hello all. My name is Teresa and I live in Alabama. I'm married to an Army Recruiter and we have one son. Our son is 7 years old and was recently diagnosed with ADHD. To kind of cope with the stress and depression I've been battling, I started sewing and quilting.

I'm so excited to be new member of The Vignette Hexagons. I've only been sewing since fall of last year and hexagons were where I started. This site is one of the first sites that I found when I was searching the web for advice. All of you inspired me so much with all of your beautiful hexagons.

Here are a few hexies that I've done recently:

This last hexie caddy I found from a wonderful website. http://pennyshands.blogspot.com/2010/08/hexie-caddy-tutorial.html

I'm really looking forward to all the hexies that you all share. I'll post some more soon. :)
