Back again ...

Hi all,
Well, the flow of posts on this blog have diminished quite a bit lately... probably because X-mas is getting close, and everybody is busy getting everything ready. I know that has been my reason! :-D ... I had a few X-mas projects to finish, decorating of the house, presents to buy (& create), cookies to bake ...the list was long! ... BUT ... now I am done ... I am ready for Xmas, and I can again indulge in my favorite project: the hexagon quilt!!! :-D
I got 5 rows all sewn together, the 6th row is ready ... just one missing!
Here it is ... my dining room table isn't wide enough to show all !
I am really happy with it ... just missing a lot of embroidery!

I also bought the fabric for the back ... just as colourful as the top is going to be:
So I hope that in January I will be ready for the daunting task of adding the white border, putting the parts together, and start quilting ... by hand ... that is going to take some time! :-D

I wish you all a wonderful X-mas!

Back to my addiction

Yay finally back to my hexagons...ohh how I have missed you!!!!I am on my last row...but may add more as I would love a big quilt, shall see how it looks when the last row is on

Heres the last row, section two almost finished...have to do some housework today but when the cherubs go down for their afternoon out fingers its sewing time!!!

Cant wait for this quilt to be finished, as I have a huge pile of reproduction fabrics waiting for another paper pieced quilt. I have been really enjoying this quilt. Again, the pictures dont do the colours justice...
Happy Hexing
